Job Title: Investigation & Compliance Internal Auditor
INTRODUCTION
The work is split between investigating fraud and non-compliance alerts (around 50% of the time, no travel involved) and compliance audits (Sapin 2 audits, Fraud & Compliance transverse audits, Fraud Prevention and E&C site audits, the latter typically involving two consecutive weeks of travel).
An average of 6 weeks' travel per year, mostly abroad, 2 weeks in a row.
YOUR MISSION
The Corporate Investigator is responsible for detecting, analysing and investigating internal or external incidents that could damage the company: fraud, ethical breaches, compliance violations, cyber incidents, damage to assets or behaviour that does not comply with internal policies. They guarantee the rigour, impartiality and confidentiality of investigations, and help to strengthen organisational integrity.
Conducting internal investigations
Gathering, analysing and corroborating information relating to internal alerts (whistleblowing) or reports.
Conducting individual interviews in a structured and impartial manner.
Collect and preserve evidence (documents, emails, digital data, logs).
Establish factual chronologies, fact maps, and associated risk analyses.
Reporting & documentation
Draft clear, factual and legally usable investigation reports.
Recommending disciplinary, corrective or preventive measures.
Prevention & continuous improvement
Identify process flaws that have led to non-compliance.
Suggest improvements to internal controls, procedures and ethical policies.
Participate in employee training on fraud/compliance risks.
Contribute to regulatory monitoring and best investigation practices.
The Compliance Auditor assesses the extent to which the company complies with its regulatory, ethical, contractual and internal obligations. In particular, he ensures that the system for preventing corruption is systematically implemented in accordance with the Sapin 2 law.
Conducting compliance audits
Examine the application of internal policies (ethics, anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts & invitations, third parties, purchasing, etc.).
Assess internal controls and compliance with regulations, particularly Sapin 2 and the fight against fraud, but also the prevention of anti-competitive practices, compliance with international sanctions, etc.
Risk analysis & compliance assessment
Identify gaps, weaknesses and malfunctions in processes.
Formulate a precise and factual diagnosis of the risks of non-compliance.
Assess the operational, legal, financial and reputational impact.
Reporting & recommendations

Monitoring action plans
Support teams in implementing improvements.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Organise and conduct:
Investigations into misappropriation of assets, fraudulent disclosure of financial or non-financial information, unethical behaviour and non-compliance with laws and internal procedures.
Fraud prevention and E&C compliance audits at different levels of granularity: countries, legal entities or industrial sites. Transverse audits on issues such as fraud and prevention of corruption.
You will be expected to be autonomous and to make proposals, and to be capable of organising and carrying out audit assignments: Assignement letter, Risk memo, Work programme, Kick-off and Exit meetings, audit Reports.
Develop and discuss findings, recommendations and timelines for corrective actions with responsible officer of operations audited
Develop and maintain professional relations with management and acquire knowledge of the business.
Develop your expertise and your professional network, particularly in the areas of fraud and compliance.
YOUR PROFILE
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
Graduated from Business School, Engineering School, College
Fluency in English language
Desirable:
CFE certification (Certified Fraud Examiners)
ISO 37001 certification
Experience (mandatory):
Between 5 and 8 years' experience, particularly in the field of external audit, internal audit or compliance, necessarily including successful experience in the field of investigation (ideally in a forensic department).
Desirable:
Several years' professional experience in a forensic department.
